Deposit
You hold your spot with a deposit per person: $200 MXN on most tours and $300 MXN on Isla Mujeres ($25 USD when the rate is in dollars). The balance is paid on the day of the tour.
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before
If you cancel 24 hours or more before your tour departs, we refund the full amount you paid to hold your spot to the same payment method. Depending on your bank, the refund can take 5 to 10 business days to show. If you cancel less than 24 hours before or do not show up, the deposit is non-refundable.
If you need to change the date, message us as soon as possible and we will help you move it, subject to availability.
Last-minute bookings
Bookings made less than 24 hours before the tour (for example, booking today for the following day) cannot be cancelled or refunded.
Cancellation for health reasons
Within 24 hours of the tour, we can consider a cancellation only for health reasons, provided you send us a medical certificate issued by a licensed health professional. Without this document, no refund applies.
If the tour is cancelled due to weather or force majeure
If the operator cancels the tour due to weather, port closures or force majeure, we will contact you to change the date or refund your full deposit.
Private yachts
Deposit and cancellation conditions for private yachts are sent to you in writing in your WhatsApp quote before you pay.
Taxes and fees paid on site
Some ecological reserves and national parks charge additional taxes, fees, or permits not included in the tour price. These are paid directly on site.
Our role as an intermediary
Chi'ik Adventures acts solely as an intermediary between you and the service providers (tour operators, transport companies, boats, and parks). We are not liable for loss, damage, accidents, injuries, schedule changes, or other irregularities caused by circumstances beyond our control, nor for the loss of or damage to personal belongings or luggage.

The cancellation must be requested by the booking holder; we do not accept requests from third parties outside the booking.
